It is granted to a Government Servant who is by physical or mental infirmity, is permanently incapacitated for the public service.

The date of retirement will be the date of Medical Certificate if the Government Servant was on duty or the date in which the Government Servant return for duty if the Government Servant was on leave.

If the infirmity is curable and the Government Servant refuses to get cured no pension and gratuity need be admitted.
