It is payable to Government Servant who may retire
form Government service, voluntarily

A Government Servant who has completed 50 year of
age or 20 years of qualifying service (pension counting service) may
retire by giving notice of not less than 3 months, in writing directly to the
appointing authority.

A Government Servant can also withdraw the
voluntary retirement notice before it is being accepted.. The appointing
authority is having the right to accept or reject the application of the
employee's request within the notice period.

A Government Servant retiring voluntarily shall
be given weightage not more than 5 years (subject to the condition
that the total qualifying service including weightage should not exceed the
maximum limit of 30 years)

The weightage shall be in addition to the
qualifying service for the purpose of pension and gratuity only
