ACTS - Right to Information Act, 2005 - Implementation of the Act - Appointment of Appellate Authority and Public Information Officers in Labour and Employment Department, Secretariat - Orders - Modified.

Sub-Section (1) of section 5 of the Right Information Act, 2005 provides that every public authority shall designate as many officers as State Public Information Officers in all the administrative units or offices under it as may be necessary to provide information to persons requesting for information under the said Act. The Appellate Authority in terms of section 19 of the said Act, shall be an officer who is senior in rank to the State Public Information Officer in each public authority. To promote transparency and accountability, in modification of the orders issued in the Government Order second read above, the Officers in Labour and Employment Department, Secretariat dealing with the subjects mentioned against them are appointed as Public Information Officers and Appellate Authorities under the Right to Information Act, 2005 as detailed below:-
