ABSTRACT

Monitoring and implementation of the Right to Information Act, 2005 - Reallocation of subject - Orders - Issued.

ORDER:

In the Government letter first read above, instructions were issued regarding the implementation of the Right to Information Act, 2005.  In the Government Order second read above, the Government have issued orders on constitution of Tamil Nadu State Information Commission.  In the Government Order third read above, sanction was accorded for the creation of temporary staff of one Section Officer, two Assistant Section Officers and one Typist for a period of one year from 5.9.2006 or till the necessity ceases whichever is earlier.  It has now been decided to attach the subject of monitoring and implementation of the Right to Information Act, 2005 to the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, Chennai-9.

2. Accordingly the Government direct that the subject mentioned in para 1 above hitherto dealt with by the Public & Rehabilitation Department be re-allocated to the Personnel and Administrative Department, Chennai-9 along with the staff sanctioned in the Government Order 3rd read above.

3. Necessary amendments to the first schedule to the Tamil Nadu Government Business Rules 1978 will be issued by the Personnel and Administrative Department, Chennai-9 separately.
