GOVERNMENT OF TAMILNADU ABSTRACT Special Village Panchayats -Allocation of funds for Special Village Panchayats under budget heads in MA&WS Department -Orders -Issued. MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION AND WATER SUPPLY (BUDGET) DEPARTMENT G.O.(D) NO.84 Dated: 17.2.2005. Read: G.O.(Ms) No.270, Municipal Administration and Water Supply (Election) Department, dated 11.6.2004. . ORDER: Consequent on the reclassification of Town Panchayats as Special Village Panchayats, the question of providing funds to those bodies under Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department programmes and other budget heads has been examined. 2. The Government direct that the existing arrangements will continue for the allocation of funds for 2005-2006 to the Special Village Panchayats under schemes like Swarna Jayanthi Sahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) and National Slum Development Board etc. Similarly, allocation of funds under devolutions of Finance Commission grants shall also be made under the existing arrangements. 3. The Rural Development Department is requested to pursue further follow up action on this issue. 4. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.No.38/SS(CK)/05, dated 8.2.2005. (BY ORDER OF THE GOVERNOR)
