✔ To identity and integrate various charitable trusts bequeathed by the Vanniyar philanthropists and to find ways and means to fulfill the objectives of the trusts the Government had formed the Vanniyar Public Property Welfare Board in the year 2009.
✔ To safeguard the properties of such trusts and endowments created by persons or organizations of Vanniyakula Kshatriya Community an act namely “The Tamil Nadu Vanniyakula Kshatriya Public Charitable Trusts and Endowments (Protection and Maintenance) Act 2018” has been enacted. The Act came into force on 04.02.2019.
✔ In order to enforce the Act, the Government have established “Tamil Nadu Vanniyakula Kshatriya Public Charitable Trusts and Endowments Board” consisting of the following Chairperson, Members and Member Secretary: -

✔ The Government have sanctioned 23 new posts and have given a one – time grant of one crore Rupees and recurring grant of twenty five lakh rupees for its effective functioning. Subsequently the Government have sanctioned a sum of rupees one crore as Administrative Grant for the year 2020-21 to meet the recurring expenditure of the Board and rupees one crore is being granted for every financial year.
✔ The Board published an advertisement in Daily Thanthi and Dinamalar on 15.08.2019 and again in Daily Thanthi and Dinamani on 25.06.2023, all the concerned Trusts and Endowments in Tamil Nadu should register with this Board under Section 30(1) of Tamil Nadu Vanniyakukla Kshatriya Public Charitable Trusts and Endowments (Protection and Maintenance) Act 2018.
✔ The Board, so for, has identified 124 Trusts/Endowments, out of which, 76 Trusts have been registered with this Board.
✔ The list of properties belonging to 35 Vanniyakula Kshatriya Public Charitable Trusts/Endowments have been published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette.
✔ After the formation of First Board, it conducted meetings on various dates such as 04.03.2019 10.06.2019, 16.07.2019, 18.09.2019, 13.11.2019, 09.01.2020, 11.03.2020, 20.07.2020, 08.09.2020, 14.10.2020, 04.11.2020, 14.12.2020, 24.02.2021. 17.08.2021, 08.10.2021 and 14.12.2021 for effective functioning of the Board.
✔The second Board reconstituted have conducted Board meetings on various dates such as 17.05.2023, 12.07.2023, 27.09.2023, 27.11.2023, 30.01.2024, 06.03.2024, 20.06.2024 and transacted its business.
